Pretending to be the princess, Wukong deceives Yellow Robe by feigning grief. The demon reveals a crystalline treasure and warns about his true form. Wukong plans to use this moment to reveal his identity.

Battle Between Wukong and the Demon

Wukong confronts a demon who has stolen Sanzang's treasure. The demon denies recognizing Wukong as his ancestor, leading to an intense battle. Wukong transforms into a three-headed form with six arms and defeats the demon's army. After a fifty-round fight, Wukong seemingly kills the demon, but the enemy vanishes mysteriously.

Investigation at the South Heavenly Gate

After failing to find the demon's body, Wukong travels to Heaven to investigate. He reports a missing celestial being to the Jade Emperor. A roll call reveals the Wood Wolf Star, is absent for 13 years (equivalent to one day in Heaven).

The Twenty-seven Constellations recite spells to expose the Wood Wolf Star, a celestial warrior who secretly lived on Earth with the jade girl. Wukong confronts the Wood Wolf Star at Heavenly Gate before the Jade Emperor, who condemns him for abandoning his duty and banishes him to Tushita Palace.

The Return of the Princess

Wukong, Bajie, and Wujing return to Earth with the princess. The king thanks Wukong for rescuing her by subduing Revati (the Yellow Robe Demon). Wukong explains that Revati is a fallen star who fled Heaven thirteen years ago.

Sanzang's Rescue from Demon Magic

The disciples find Sanzang imprisoned as a tiger by diabolical magic. Wukong uses a spell to restore him, breaking the illusion. A grateful Sanzang praises Wukong for his mercy and commitment to their journey west.

Farewell and Departure

After a royal banquet, the king and ministers send Sanzang and his disciples on their journey to the West. The narrative closes with the group continuing westward while the king returns to his palace.
