Encountering the Three Old Demons

Lion-Camel Cave

Wukong, disguised as a demon, encounters three old demons—a lion, an elephant, and an eagle-roc—seated on thrones. He fabricates a story about Pilgrim Sun polishing his weapon and planning to attack, causing the demons to panic.

Wukong's Tale of Transformation

Lion-Camel Cave

Wukong spins another story, claiming that Pilgrim Sun plans to skin the demon and transform into a fly to infiltrate their ranks. The demons are terrified by the vivid tale and become even more paranoid about magical attacks.

Wukong Summons the Fly

Lion-Camel Cave

Wukong secretly chants a spell to summon a magical fly. The fly darts around the throne room, landing on the demons and making them believe Pilgrim Sun's magic is at work. The demons react with fear and confusion, scrambling to attack the fly. Wukong laughs and ends up revealing himself.

The Treasure Vase Trap

Lion-Camel Cave

Wukong is captured, stripped, and sealed inside a magical vase governed by yin-yang forces. He struggles within, using his magic to fend off flames, snakes, and fire dragons.

Wukong Escapes the Vase's Magic

Lion-Camel Cave

Wukong uses life-saving hairs from Guanyin to create tools, drills a hole in the vase, and escapes by transforming into a cricket. He crawls out of the hole as a tiny mole cricket, then flies onto the old demon's head as the demons prepare to inspect the vase.

Wukong Taunts the Demons

Lion-Camel Cave

The demons discover the vase is empty and panic. Wukong reveals himself, taunting the demons and mocking the uselessness of their treasure vase. He retrieves his clothes and escapes, shouting insults as he leaves.

Reunion with Sanzang

Lion-Camel Ridge

Wukong returns to Sanzang after escaping. He recounts his ordeal and the destruction of the vase.

Strategic Planning Before Battle

Lion-Camel Cave

Sanzang arranges for Bajie and Wukong to confront the demons. Bajie hesitates but agrees to join Wukong.

Demon Kings Seek Volunteers

Lion-Camel Cave

The green-haired lion demon king, fearing Wukong's power, asks his minions for volunteers to fight him. None of the demons dare to step forward, leaving the lion demon king frustrated and anxious. Seeing no volunteers, the lion demon king angrily decides to go out and face Wukong himself.

The Three-Blow Challenge

Lion-Camel Ridge

The green-haired lion demon challenges Wukong to withstand three blows from his scimitar. Wukong easily withstands the first blow, and after the second, splits into two bodies using his magic. The demon is astonished by Wukong's ability to divide and reunite his body. Wukong then strikes back with his iron rod, and the duel escalates.

Wukong vs. the Demon

Lion-Camel Ridge

Wukong and the green-haired lion demon engage in a fierce battle, clashing weapons in midair. Bajie attempts to intervene but is outmatched.

Wukong Trapped and Causes Chaos Inside the Demon

Lion-Camel Cave

Wukong is swallowed by the demon and taunts him from within, refusing to come out even after salt water is poured down. He jokes about spending the winter inside, then wreaks havoc in the demon's belly, causing unbearable pain until the demon collapses.
