Sun Wukong arrives at Wudang Mountain, admires its immortal scenery, and seeks help from Zhenwu. He explains how his master and companions were captured by a demon using magical cymbals and a cloth wrap. Though reluctant to act without the Jade Emperor's decree, Zhenwu agrees to send his generals and the Five Divine Dragons to assist Wukong.

Confrontation and Battle with Great King Yellow Brow

Zhenwu's generals and the Five Divine Dragons join Wukong to confront Great King Yellow Brow at the monastery. They demand the release of Sanzang and the captives, provoking a fierce battle. Despite their combined efforts, the demon uses his magical cloth wrap to capture everyone except Wukong, who escapes.

Wukong's Retreat and Encounter with the Day Sentinel

After fleeing the battle, Wukong rests on a mountain slope. The Day Sentinel warns him that his master and others are captive in the underground cellar. Wukong is advised to seek help from State-King Bodhisattva in Bincheng City.

Seeking Aid from State-King Bodhisattva and Deployment of Warriors

Xuyi Mountain

Wukong seeks help from State-King Bodhisattva at Xuyi Mountain, explaining the plight of his master and companions. Unable to leave himself, the Bodhisattva sends Prince Little Zhang and four divine warriors to assist. Together, they set out to confront the Yellow Brow Fiend and rescue the captives.

Clash with Demonish King's Forces

Prince Little Zhang and the four warriors engage in combat with the demonish king, who mocks their capabilities. The battle intensifies as Wukong joins the fray, but the demon's magic wrap nearly captures the group.

Maitreya's Strategic Plan

Mountain of Seven Extremes

After escaping capture, Wukong meets Maitreya, who reveals the origin of the demonish king's treasures. Maitreya devises a plan involving transforming into a melon to lure and defeat the demon.

Wukong and the demonish king engage in combat. Wukong uses a one-handed attack to provoke the demon, leading to a chase to watermelon field.

Melon Field - The Transformation Trick

Melon Field

Wukong transforms into a melon and disguises himself as Maitreya to trick the demonish king. He then attacks from within the demon's body after being eaten.

Melon Field Aftermath - Submission of the Demon

Melon Field

The demonish king is overwhelmed by Wukong's attack and begs for mercy. Maitreya intervenes to stop the fight, and the demon is captured.

Monastery - Liberation of Deities

After the demon is subdued, Wukong unties Sanzang, Bajie, and Wujing, and they free the imprisoned deities from the underground cellar. Maitreya recovers the stolen gold cymbals and departs. The group thanks the deities, who return to their stations.

Post-Battle Departure

The group rests at the monastery, feeds the white horse, and prepares their luggage. In the morning, they set out again and burn down the monastery, reducing its towers and halls to ashes to prevent any lingering evil.
